Community Engagement of the

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 2FDC

Under the leadership of President Harris Cummings Jr., Vice President Philip Tindley, Secretary Bernard V. Conley Sr., and Treasurers Marshall Smith and Gary Monroe, the Fraternal Order of Police 2FDC has actively contributed to various community initiatives. Their efforts include:

Integrity

  • Backpack and School Supply Distribution: Providing essential school supplies to students in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
  • Food Basket Distribution: Offering food baskets to families in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • Charity Events for Homeless Facilities: Donating toiletries, socks, toothpaste, shampoo, and underclothing to support homeless individuals.

Accountability

  • Tutoring and Mentoring: Engaging with students through tutoring and mentorship programs.
  • FOP Cadet Program: Creating a program for pre-teens and teens to foster leadership and community involvement.
  • Senior Citizen Sponsorship: Supporting senior citizens at church banquets.

Mentorship

  • Scholarship Program Support: Contributing to the Southern Maryland Church Debutantes and Masters Scholarship Program for three years.
  • Support for Fallen Law Enforcement Families: Providing aid to the families of law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
  • Law Enforcement Guidance: Offering expert advice and support to local and state councils, as well as senatorial and congressional representatives.
