    How can you help?

    That’s great to hear! There are several ways you can help FOP Lodge 2F DC with their bookbag drive:

    Christmas Dinner & Holiday Celebration

    The holiday season is a time for gratitude, reflection, and coming together as a family. The leadership and members of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 2F DC gathered to celebrate our annual Christmas Dinner & Holiday Celebration!

    It was an evening filled with laughter, delicious food, and incredible festive cheer. Our members and their loved ones filled the beautifully decorated venue, trading the uniform and daily shift routines for a night of relaxation and fellowship.

    Highlights from the Evening

    • A Festive Feast: Guests enjoyed a fantastic dinner spread, complete with holiday favorites and refreshing drinks.
    • The Lodge 2F Raffle: The holiday raffle was a massive hit, sending several lucky winners home with some early Christmas gifts and prizes!
    • Celebrating Our Bond: More than anything, the night was a powerful reminder of the brotherhood and sisterhood that defines Lodge 2F DC. It gave us a chance to unwind, catch up, and toast to the hard work of our dedicated officers throughout the year.

    A Message of Gratitude

    We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to the organizers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to pull this beautiful evening together.

    To our members who were working the line or on shift during the party—keeping our communities safe while we celebrated—we thank you for your unwavering service and sacrifice. You were missed, and we appreciate everything you do.

    Let’s Strike it Out – Bowling Night

    The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 2F DC traded in our regular routines for some friendly competition, lane-side laughs, and plenty of strikes at our official “Let’s Strike it Out” Bowling Night!

    It was a fantastic turnout as members, families, and friends laced up their bowling shoes for an evening dedicated entirely to fun, relaxation, and camaraderie outside of the line of duty.

    Highlights from the Lanes

    • Friendly Competition: From seasoned pros rolling consecutive strikes to beginners celebrating every cleared pin, the energy across the lanes was electric.
    • Family & Fellowship: It was wonderful to see so many families and children joining in on the fun, reminding us all of the tight-knit community that backs our lodge.
    • Pizza, Pins, and Prizes: Between games, everyone enjoyed plenty of pizza, snacks, and drinks, with a few lighthearted prizes handed out to the night’s top scorers (and most enthusiastic rollers!).

    Why Events Like This Matter

    Behind the badges and the heavy responsibilities of law enforcement are real people who face immense daily stress. Events like our Bowling Night give our members a vital opportunity to decompress, build stronger personal bonds, and support one another in a relaxed, joyful environment.

It was an unforgettable afternoon on the water dedicated to celebrating education, community, and the bright futures of our next generation.

    Guided by the timeless words of Martin Luther King, Jr.—“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically”—this annual gathering brings together community leaders, students, and families to foster powerful connections and raise vital funds for future academic pursuits.

    We were deeply honored to welcome Mr. Eddie Mallard as our keynote guest speaker for the afternoon. A native of Ludowici, Georgia, and a proud U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Mallard brought a wealth of wisdom to our attendees. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree and a lifetime of leadership experience, his words on resilience, service, and the power of higher education left everyone on board feeling deeply inspired.

    About Mr. Eddie Mallard

    Mr. Eddie E. Mallard is a native of Ludowici, Georgia. Following his graduation from Walker High School, he took a path of profound commitment and honor by enlisting in the United States Army. His military background laid a strong foundation for a lifelong journey centered around discipline, community leadership, and excellence.

    Believing firmly in the power of continuous learning, Mr. Mallard went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science Degree, channeling his knowledge and experiences into motivating and mentoring the next generation.

    Bridging Leadership and Education

    At Lodge 2F DC, our scholarship initiative aims to uplift young minds who think critically and act with character. Mr. Mallard’s background bridges the gap between hard work, structural leadership, and academic triumph—making him the perfect voice to inspire our 2024 scholarship recipients, Melia Grace and Alexandra Rodriguez, alongside our community members.
